Our Fleeceflower honey aka "Red Bamboo," comes from the Japanese Knotweed plant which is found in almost all 50 states. This plant is considered a very invasive weed but are valued by many beekeepers as an important source of nectar for honeybees, at a time of year when little else is flowering.  It yields a monofloral honey, like a mild-flavored version of buckwheat and has a dark, rich and full bodied taste with a hint of caramel and maple. 

Fleeceflower honey is also said to be high in the anti-oxidant Resveratrol, the nutritional supplement reported to provide certain health benefits.so it is good and good for you!

Pairings:  BBQ marinade, salmon glaze, pancakes/waffles, add to baking soda for the perfect exfoliant & mask!
